Taking the First Step
Dear Self,
You have started and stopped so many blogs in the last few years. You have made excuse after excuse for why you haven't been consistent with writing -- "I don't have time", "I don't know what to write about", "I don't want to expose myself", etc. Yes, things have changed dramatically since your last blog, but you have to be honest -- blogging is what helped you deal with life.
You totally dismissed how blogging has gotten you through some pretty tough times over the years. You grew from your blogging. You healed from your blogging. You shared a story that so many other women are familiar with through your blog. It has been you outlet and sense of release. And as painful as it is to share your hurt with the world, it's even more painful to keep it bottled in.
So, come have a seat at your laptop again. Get back in the saddle. And unleash ALL of it. Start back doing what you've always loved to do, what has helped guide you out of so much pain and hurt. Be vulnerable again. It's ok.
And, while you're at it, forgive yourself. Stop punishing yourself for past mistakes. It's over. It's done. So, stop berating yourself for stuff you can't fix, for things that have already happened, for circumstances you may have just been responding to. Stop doubting who you are and what you deserve. Stop allowing your estranged husband to manipulate you and how you see you. His opinion doesn't matter. Only thing that matters right now is healing your heart, your soul, and your mind. Let everything else take a backseat. Step into who you TRULY are.
Remember ... you are loved by you. Never forget it.
With love,
Yourself
